Knowledge and Innovation Community on Water, Marine and Maritime Sectors
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has announced that it will launch a new Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) in the water, marine and maritime sectors and ecosystems. The EIT is a part of Horizon Europe, the EU's research and innovation programme.
The call for proposals for this new KIC will be published in 2025. EIT Water will tackle water scarcity, droughts, floods, and marine and freshwater degradation. It will be launched in 2026 and will connect top partners and steer innovation to strengthen the blue economy and Europe’s competitiveness.
